How to Maintain Your Lawn and Garden

Nothing feels quite as good as the feeling of walking barefoot on nice, lush green grass.Whether you have it just for the simple enjoyment of rolling around on, or walking in, or playing on, or just simply the fact that you love to look at greenery, there’s nothing that compares to owning a nice patch of lush green lawn. But without providing the proper lawn and garden care to your grass, how is it possible for your lawn to thrive?

Good news~Splendid news}: Even the most inexperienced wanna be gardener can perform successful lawn and garden care. All you have to do is follow this simple lawn and garden care steps below and you’ll be pretty much guaranteed success:

Step 1: Plan Your Lawn

The initial stage of planning for your lawn and garden care is a lot easier talk about then  performed. There are many factors to consider, least of which is the size of your intended lawn and its shape. Being aware of these two things before and will give you the knowledge to determine the kind and extent of the maintenance your yard will require and also it’s watering needs.

Size: Make sure that you get the dimensions of your lawn so you know exactly how many square feet of coverage is required.

Shape and Layout: Choose a layout for your lawn, one that will allow you to do your mowing without having to back up or stop. You should avoid making sharp curves and corners, while including borders and the layout the will provide you with an easier mowing experience.

The type of grass you choose is another important step in the garden and lawn care. You need to make sure that your grass is compatible with the soil for your region. Check the branch of your local extension office for any guys that might be available on the types that of grass which grow in the region so you can select the grass that grows best in that area.

After years of rendering lawn and garden, we have observed that some types of grasses, such as Kentucky bluegrass, fescue grass, and ryegrass, like the Northern Hemisphere better because it’s cooler.. there are also some that like the hotter weather of the Southern climates, like the Bermuda, St. Augustine, and zoysia. If you’re unsure about your region, or have any doubts, but a safe bet would be to use tall fescue which is known to grow in areas where the regions merge together.

Step 3: Test the Soil

A soil test is the next most important aspect of lawn and garden care. There are a whole lot of different soil types and each different kind is likely to have different acidic levels and different nutrient content. In order to get the right fertilizer for your soil type, you need to get your soil tested first.

After you test the soil, correct the problem accordingly. Commonly, organic material is used to raise the nutrient levels in soil. On the other hand if you’re trying to achieving acid balance, and most lawn Gardens care specialists recommend using lime or sulfur to adjust the acidity. Just distribute a two to
three in or five to eight centimeter bed of organic material over the field and merge it to six to 9 inches or fifteen to twenty three centimeters into the ground.

Step 4: Install a Sprinkler System

While you don’t need to constantly watching your grass, it remains an essential part of its growth.As you can see now, having a sprinkler system is vitally important aspect of lawn of  garden care. This is especially significant if you live in an area where the growing season is naturally dry. If you live where summer rainfall is normally abundant, buried sprinklers are optional but convenient.
